This patient presented with loss of balance while walking and hence needed support of someone when he came to me. On investigation he was found to have Tuberculosis of Cervical spine which showed significant compression of spinal cord. Since the cord compression was from front(anterior) of the spinal cord therefore I advised him surgery will be done from the front of the neck to which patient got scared that it would be very risky surgery. He was then explained in detail about surgery and then he got convinced and surgery was performed. He went home walking with a happy face. Anterior surgery in the neck is a very safe surgery at hands of experienced surgeon
